Despite being recorded as "Charles Cook" on his marriage and death certificates, the youngest son of William Cook and Ann Cowl was christened as Charlie, having been born on 21 December 1871 in Antony, Torpoint.
A seaman serving in the Royal Navy, Charlie was stationed aboard HMS Cambridge at the time of his marriage to Eva Maud Honey on 25 October 1897. They were married in the parish church at Antony.
Charlie died at the age of 61 on 23 November 1933, barely a month before his son William was married.
