Maria CLARKE (1804-1892)

Maria Clarke, daughter of John Clarke and Ann Anear, was born on 13 May 1804 in St Clement, Cornwall.

She married Thomas Holland on 12 March 1826.

A servant, she looked after their six children alone when Thomas died in 1841. She did not remarry.

She died on 26 September 1892 at Alma Terrace. Her son John was present at her death, the cause of which is given as gradual failure due to old age and general weakness some weeks.
